I have to admit, this app has been a welcomed surprise. How are your experiences so far with this app?

I still have to play with it some more. My TV was not recognized and my receiver is on RF. So that may be an issue.

I'm curious.. You guys that are using it.. Can you control your TV and also you cable box? TV for me would only be volume but if you can control both.. That would awesome :P.

Yup.

I haven't used my regular remotes since.

I really wish I could add my XBox because that is what I use the most for watching TV shows. Blu-Ray player support would be nice too

@Almeuit Yes you can use it with cable box and tv at the same, where volume and input is for the tv, while channel and menu and the rest control the cable box, it is pretty awesome never having to look for a remote, and the TV guide is a god send to just search for shows, or just type basketball to find the nba playoffs.

The tv sense app is awesome but I can already tell im going to get in trouble with it. I spent all weekend turning off tv's in bars or switching them to spanish. My friends and I were dying while all the workers were trying to figure out why the tv kept getting turned off. All the while I just looked like i was texting :P

I have gone through basic setup with TV and receiver and it is great. I haven't gone the next step to program the inputs, etc, which I think is a weekend project. Love the functionality of it though. Certainly replaces my Harmony 650.

My 650 will hang around for Blu-Ray, Xbox, and for when the wife is watching TV alone, but I agree that it could easily replace the 650 in many peoples situations

Have you guys tried the RCA codes for the Xbox? I know those have worked in the past.

This has been my most used feature by far. I lost the remote to one of my tvs a while ago so this has been a life saver.

Anyone know how to get a guide button for DirecTv added? Thanks.

Works like a charm for me. Set up to control my Samsung TV, TiVo, and Denon receiver was quick and easy. Set up the channels I get via Verizon FiOS and it works great. Very pleasant surprise at how well it works! If they could add in an easy way to see program descriptive info I'd be thrilled, but as it is now it's still a fun and easy way to quickly see what's on now or in the near future that I want to watch.

I'm wondering this also. Looks like you have to go to the home page and choose Channel Guide. But even from there you have to tap on the show you want to watch then press Watch Now or something like that. A guide button would be so much easier.

I also can't get the remote to work on my DirectTV DVR receiver. It works fine with my regular receivers.

Have any of you guys realized that you can use the volume rocker to change the volume on the tv? I was turning the volume up one day with the screen and thought "hmm wonder if the volume rocker works!" didnt really have high hopes for it working but it makes it alot easier to turn up the volume without looking since there are physical keys! And to the turning off tvs part.. I only did that once in a firehouse subs and the employees went and wondered why it tuned off and as they were staring at it i turned it back on! But couldnt tap into the reciever because some places hide them from plain sight. But i am really wanting to get out to a sports bar with tons of tvs and start changing channels and what not!
