HTC Sync Manager won't recognize HTC One(M7)

I have been able to sync my HTC One(M7) via USB with no problem for 21 months but since the latest SYNC Manager update (3.1.44.5) I keep getting "No phone connected". The computer recognizes the phone and the sync manager must because it opens automatically as well as the phone showing HTC SYNC, MTP Connected & USB connected. Anyone else experiencing "No phone connected" problems?

Am having the same issue with my M8, i did the sync manager update a while ago and it started this!!!

Was able to sync my phones on the older version.
