HTC Thunderbolt GB Update Redux Incoming

It is back in the hopper. According to Verizon's support page, the GB re-release is imminent.

In another thread, there are peope saying that they are starting to get the upgrade.

In the first Gingerbread release, it was available for about a day or so, and not everyone got it. Verizon rolls them out over time, so it might be a little while (possibly even a few days) before you see it on your phone. If you wait, it will be pushed to you. If you're in a hurry, check from time to time - eventually you'll see it available.

Last time I got it, it was after a period of getting the "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" message when checking for the update. It's possible they had taken down the local update servers to get the new firmware loaded to them.

About 15 minutes ago, I started seeing the SERVICE UNAVAILABLE message around here.

That might mean the upgrade is rolling out here very soon. It also might mean the server is simply down at the moment from Thuderbolters pressing the "check now" button too often.
