That gain will only be temporary though. You really think we all won't be seeing the launch of the iPhone 4G this summer? I wouldn't put it past Apple one bit to still launch the latest & greatest iPhone on VZW AGAIN come June / July.

I would bet a million bucks that there will not be a 4g iphone this year. Apple will wait until 4g is more widely available. I reckon we see a refresh for the at&t version. Fix the antenna issues and such. 4g will probably be next year when they release the iphone xl.

Exactly my thoughts, iTELLUWHATUCANHAVEPhone only came to VZW because they new ATT's 4G would never compare and that Android is only gaining ground because VZW is promoting it on a great network.

There may very well be, but my point is, Verizon is going to lock a lot of people into a 2 year contract with the iPhone 4 launch. Sure some of them will still go out and pay full retail for the iPhone 5, but there's still a lot that won't...and that's *that* many more people sucking up data on Verizon's 3G network.

from my understanding iphone 4 on verizon contract is for only the iphone 4till next january. an att will still get iphone 5 an have exclusive on there network until verizon can strike up another deal. i say iphone5 will have lte radio for att 4g. an iphone 5 for verizon will launch next feb on verizon with 4g

LTE iPhone won't show up until 2012, Apple doesn't run with tech that is fully tested, it could possibly get delayed until 2013 so AT&T has time to get their LTE rolled out as well. They don't want one carrier running it and the other doesn't. Apple is all about profits and the more phones they can sell is what matters.

I'm not sure if anyone has, to be honest. I've seen some quadrant scores, but to be fair, I don't always go by what they say either.

I will bet you any amount of money that the IPhone 5 will be GSM/EDGE/CDMA/EVDO only. The AT&T version may have HSPA+, but neither version will have LTE for either network. Uncle Steve doesn't think you're ready, so you don't get it...

Truth is I think it has more to do with the fact that they can't figure out how to put an LTE radio in to an IPhone without murdering battery life or compromising their "Artistic Vision" of what the phone should look like. Hell, the first two IPhones weren't even 3g, just quad band GSM, even though the technology was readily available.

iphone 5 will be a universal super phone that you can use on any US carrier. it will also do hologram video calling.

Lol, haven't had a android phone since the first droid and I ditched it most quickly. Too laggy and jerky for me, freezing all the time so I didn't get to play with it much. I'm willing to give android another chance.

i got the iphone today from verizon, hated it, wont load mail, contacts and pc interface bites, sold on craigslist and will wait for android bolt, guy from craigslist was thrilled to not have to wait in line.
