HTC Thunderbolt hands on video [UPDATED]

Moosc, you dont care to reply to my reply? you are more of a troller?

there is a very distinct possibility this will not be the case with the bionic. it is not a big red button at verizon that they just decided to push to activate this feature. it is based on the chipset the devices are you using. we all know the TBOLT and Bionic use distinctly different hardware. not to mention it has not even been hinted that the bionic will have this. as for being outclassed, you understand that most people here looking at TBOLT are VZW customers, on VZW it is a top tier phone and has only been OUTSPECCED by the Bionic. what makes the single core LG and samsung offerings better than the TBOLT. HTC builds a better device than samsung and the LG is unproven. You are obviously a spec kind of guy, we all know speccs dont always give the whole truth. there are cars with less specs that will outperform better specced cars due to specs you dont bother looking at, like overall weight, front rear weight distribution, horsepower to weight ratio, etc. not to mention the thing i have realized is there is nothing in the next year that 99% of users will benefit from by having a dual core. your quadrant score might be higher, who gives a ****? is your gmail going to open twice as fast? other than hardcore gaming (which is just funny to even type, much less do) the average user will not benefit. anyway, i think i will take the superiorely skinned, designed, built TBOLT for now.

I got the youtube version d/l in 720HD, really great video, shows off the full potential, although as noted it was a non final production unit but still it was awesome.

edizzle, chill out dude

The power of the Tegra 2 will be more apparent with gingerbread, but even so with gaming. The GPU is significantly better in the nVidia platform, and gaming with a dedicated 2nd CPU will be impressive. Not to say that it won't be good on T-Bolt, but it will be better on nVidia.

And as I said in another thread, the Bionic will be more "future proof" than the T-Bolt. I'd def sign up for 1yr with TB but I wouldn't be worried about 2yr with Bionic.

I would definitely be worried about a 2 year with the bionic. Nvidia already has their quad core in developement and we will be seeing it early next year. The bionic is definitely not the end all be all phone some people are making it out to be.

Not going to get into pisssing contest over this. We can argue over this and never get no where.

That is why you pay 70 dollars more and do one year contracts.

I always thought that Verizon charged $100 more for a 1 year contact. Still probably worth it. (if you are someone who wants the latest, at least)

I am thinking about getting the TBolt on the 2 year contract. It will be my first smart phone, so I'm definately not used to the latests and greatest. I am thinking if I want to upgrade sooner, I could get a new phone and pass the TBolt to my mom or sister who are on my family share plan, but don't have smart phones yet either.

yea, tho i love the latest and greatest. its expensive to stay up to date. i already have a mortgage an soon car payment. the 2 year is in back of my mind. tho $70 for a 1 year.....ill just bring my lunch to work an get some overtime to bite the bullet.

im not a gamer on my phone. mostly browsing, video an social networking wat not. dual core isnt a must have. so 2 year could be my route to save a dime.

can you sign a 2 year. an lets say something igotta have comes out. buy it full price an replace my bolt. then sell my bolt?

What hurts with the 1 year plan this time around is the reasoning with regards to the $250 for this phone. To me it's still crap that Verizon is selling this at $250. I can't remember the last phone that went for $250 on Verizon base. Maybe the original Droid but in the last year overall no phone went for $250. Evo was even $200.

Verizon needs this to be $200, especially with the Atrix. iPhone aside, the fact that the Atrix is being subsidized for $150 and that it's "4G" is huge.

What should be $270 for 1-year is now $320 and IDK if I want to pay $320 for the device. What will suck even more is if Verizon releases the Bionic at $200.

I will get this on 2-year though because I know I won't need duel core anytime soon, and instead of the extra $70 for the one year, I'll spend it on that extended battery HTC is releasing for it.
