HTC U 11 fingerprint reader/home button lags? Ayone experience this?

I have a new htc U 11 and recently, when I unlock my phone using the fingerprint reader, it lags about 3-5 seconds before it responds and unlocks my phone. I have the latest update and figured the last update would fix that but it didn't. Anyone else having this issue?

I've never had this issue. I'm running the 1.16 update on the unlocked version. This is the fastest fingerprint sensor I've ever used. Faster and more accurate than my wife's S8 or S7e, my aunt's G6 and much faster than my 10 last year. I have a ZTE Max Pro for backups and it has one that super sucks.

For awhile I thought I didn't have fingerprints or any sort of lock turned on and it was just turning the screen on because it was so damn fast, but I tried a couple different fingers and had my kids try it to make sure it wasn't responding to just any touch. I'm really impressed with the sensor this year.

Wow, that's crazy. My U11 reads VERY fast. Maybe clear out existing fingerprints and try adding just one to see if that helps.

Nope. The finger print sensor is almost instantaneous on mine.

Yes I'm very impressed with it too, when it works properly. Just to clarify, the problems isn't on every fingerprint read. It seems to happen randomly. I hope it's a software issue and not hardware.

FP reader is faster than my iphone 7 plus. No problems with screen unlocking or using FP reader with SplashID, either.

The HTC 10 was faster than the iPhone 7 plus. The U11 is on another level!

Just got the U11 yesterday and the FPS is lightning fast. Better than the S8.

No problems here mate. Mines fast as lightning. I always setup 2 fingerprints of the same finger.

Just wanted to jump in here and say: the U11 is hands-down the fastest phone I've ever used in terms of turning on and unlocking. I can just touch the home button with a registered finger and the phone instantly turns on and logs me in. It's one of my favorite things about the U11 so far...

Mine works very quick, my work phone is a Samsung S7 and the fingerprint reader on it is terrible, I don't even use it anymore, just use a pattern lock. I really don't like Samsung phones anymore hopefully next year they have a better choice of phones other than a Samsung or an iPhone.
