HTC U11 speaker volume issues

HTC really hasn't been in the smartphone space in a meaningful way for several years now. (They did introduce a few phones recently, but they're budget phones.) So it's not surprising that their tech support isn't very helpful.

The OP of this thread mentioned it happening with Spotify and Netflix -- is it the same apps for you? What if you play a locally saved music or video file using a media player app?
