HTC U12 Possible Leaked Specs

Well if that's the case I might as well preorder as well. I wonder if they'll have any $50 off coupons sent out soon

That’s from HTCs site regarding VoLTE. Not sure about official brightness levels.

I'm a bit worried about how much battery will drain with an LCD screen compared to an oled screen etc. I saw a video where the guy was just keeping the screen on & bringing up the app draw & the battery seemed to go down quick so now I'm worried it's not gonna last all day especially with me being a heavy user.

I wouldn't worry Lucy, I've got the 11+ and it sips battery. The more efficient chip should offset the smaller battery, I'd have thought. Could easily hit double figures for screen on time, if I ran battery to dead. Also get annoyed if the battery drops 3% overnight.

Hope your right. Will see what reviews say about the battery & what to expect too.

Don't forget, most of these hands-on videos are with earlier production models w/o the final software. I'd expect battery life to be abysmal in those situations anyway.

oh yeah I totally forgot about that. That makes me feel better now, thanks. Still gonna wait for reviews but it does look like an awesome phone.

Here are a couple reviews:

https://www.phonearena.com/reviews/HTC-U12-Review_id4528

I haven't read them yet, but skimmed them. They both dislike the "buttons".

I read them and it seems like HTC really botched some of the basics, but really really excelled in the camera and audio categories. I personally think there is zero excuse for those buttons to not function as expected, likewise the battery life should fare better than what I've been seeing these reviewers achieve.

I already knew that PhoneArena would give it a mediocre score before the review came out. I expect other sites to give a lukewarm reception to the U12+ as well.

Here’s my issue with reviewers and the buttons. I wonder if they tried adjusting Edge Sense pressure. From an in depth hands on I saw on YouTube. The pressure for the buttons is dictated by the overall pressure for squeezes on Edge Sense. They might not be as bad with the sensitivity on a lower setting.
