HTC_IME Keyboard app

So I have the keyboard app installed and moved the htc_ime.apk from xdz developers to the system/apps folder so i could skin it with metamorph. everything was fine, then i went to delete the app and it says that it's read only. i also noticed there was an htccopyright.apk there now too. don't remember putting that there...

I used linda manager to move the file originally, and tried deleting it with that as well. Is there anyway to remove it without hooking up to a computer (because I can't do that for a few hours...)

I'm rooted on Koush's 5.0.4.2 rom

Haven't run into that before but why not just deactivate that keyboard via the settings option until you can get home to delete via computer?

I use Root Manager app and mount the app folder RW and then you can rename it .bak or you can delete it. That is the fastest way and can be done from your device.
