So Samsung have DeX, however Huawei have had a far better solution that has not been covered enough. Huawei have Desktop Mode which in the Mate 20 series is done via Easy Projection (Wireless Projection via Miracast).

Just for comparison Samsung only just added Samsung DeX Cable in 2018 with the Note9, however Huawei had this Cable solution a whole year before Samsung, with the Mate 10 Pro having a Desktop UI Cable.

A few YouTubers have covered this feature pretty well:

Great feature so easy to use you can choose between cable or wireless desktop mode and it never required a dock.

Any practical purpose for this for the average user?
What is an average user in this day and age?

Can you describe their exact habits? And how they use their phone?

People love throwing that term around "Average User", but who is this average user? Is it a 65 year old who may use Skype or Hangouts to connect with their kids and grandkids and occasionally need a laptop?

Is it a 25 year old with a bustling social life and social media presence that may also need a laptop occasionally but gets most work done on their smartphone when at home?

Is it a 45 year old trying to juggle being a Head of Department in a Fortune 500 Corp they work for while also managing a household with, and traveling back and forth trying to carry as little as possible on business trips?

What is this average user exactly?

Instead of a long song and dance tell us some practical use of this and who is likely to use it.

I believe most individuals use the phone to call, text, social sites including news Google searches and navigation. These users to me are your average user. Users who are reviewers, stock and commodity traders and others using their phones for income purposes I would not consider average and make up a small percentage of users.

You are not an average user but please enlighten us to who would make use of this feature that you have promoted.

To what extent do your average users use these functions though? One could sit on longer calls while another could use Navigation quite a lot, wouldn't they then be a heavy user? Do you have any statistics that backup what these "average users" do?

Anyway, I have posted videos above, you can have a watch and see where in your life this would fit in.

Lol... You are above average user

Well I use it to connect my phone to the TV to play content, surf and tried playing games too.

My smartphone usage is quite heavy, but I don't know what an average user constitutes these days. With Big phones with Bigger batteries becoming the norm, does that not show that an "average user" these days is not really so average vs. In 2010?

I'd love to see a study with actual 2018 Smartphone usage data that shows what people in 2018 did with their phones, would be a great read I think.
