Desktop Mode - What's going to be required?

So, I'm reading up on Android Q and seeing we're (supposedly) getting a desktop mode natively. What sort of phones are going to run this native desktop mode? I'm assuming since it'll be a native desktop mode, a lot more apps are going to support it compared to the Samsung DeX/Huawei EMUI versions. I'm assuming that a USB-C port enabled phone will be required, but what else will it most likely require?

that's an excellent question... I have no idea it does going to be any desktop requirements for Android desktop mode and Android Q.
