Huawei Mate 9 Anti-slip case

I've probably lost about 60 dollars over the years with eBay sellers.
For me if I get a case or low cost item that doesn't work out from eBay I won't bother with returns or buyer protection.
These days I pay careful attention to the eBay seller reputation and return policy.

I've never been ripped off by Amazon.
The GKK case I returned was easy-peasy:

  1. Go to my order
  2. Tap return item
  3. Give reason
  4. Choose return and refund method
  5. Print return label
  6. Repack then apply label
  7. Ride bicycle to UPS dropbox and drop
  8. Return to house and continue drinking coffee Lol...

Takes about 45 minutes or less for small items.
When UPS scans returned item Amazon applies my refund amount.
With Amazon, on a number of occasions, Amazon just refunded me and let me keep the item... Especially on low priced items.

Oh they do. But it's still more of a pain to deal with. With Amazon, one email and you're done. With ebay, you gotta file a complaint, wait until they don't respond, then follow up with eBay that they didn't respond. Not saying it doesn't work, just that it's more hassle with PayPal.

It definitely takes a while. But it gets the job done. I've shopped on eBay way more than Amazon.. EBay is my number one site. Amazon is great and fast, but some how I enjoyed eBay more.

I'm the same with both. If I buy something pretty cheap from either site. I wouldn't waste my time returning it

That's cool... Use what you like

Amazon just refunded my $8.99 for the GKK case.
UPS must've picked it up and scanned it :)

Nice! Use that money to get another case!

Did you try to contact Amazon before initiating the return?

Try to contact Amazon?
Use the amazon contact page, send them an email about a problem with a product. In some cases they will provide you a full refund and not require you to return the item.

Ahhh... I see.
Yes that's true... I did get the full refund.
Had a number of case returns and a few camera items that didn't require a return for refund.

Yeah it really depends but most low priced items that are damaged or not as described... Amazon will just issue a refund.

And for more expensive items, if you prove that it's damaged then they will sometimes issue you a partial refund, if you are ok with it of course. You can always return for a full refund for defective or damaged items.

Eh too much work to return such a cheap item. But everyone is different.
I use the term return loosely. When they are really cheap, Amazon just credits me for the purchase and they just tell me to throw it out.

Thats a great reason then. Thought you'll put the effort into packaging it and drive to UPS to ship it back. That would be alot of work for couple of bucks back

But what I am saying is that amazon usually refunds without the requirement to return the item, on cheap items. So no need to go to ups.

I get that part. Its much convenient that way. Although people could just lie about the quality to get refunds and still keep the item

Yes you can, although that would be unethical. And in some cases amazon has asked for pics. Also, if they think that you are defrauding them then they will ban your account and there's no way to get it reinstated.
