Huawei Mate SE vs. Honor 7x

So right now i am planning to buy a cheap phone, until 2019 phones come with 5g. I am debating whether to get the Mate SE or the 7x. There are lag issues on the 7x, but i am not sure on the SE. So which would be better to buy?
