All in all, this is a pretty good package for the price point. 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage for a little less than $450 isn't bad.

I love that they are putting the base with 64/4! That's the same as the s8.

The Sony compacts are specd a little below the honor 9. They are also 4.6" , which is a little big for some people

Oh wow, 4.6"! For some reason I had thought they were smaller. It'd be cool to see a flagship that can actually fit in my purse pockets.

Unfortunately the days of small screen phones have passed. My wife wasnt happy with the iPhone 6 but luckily they came out with the SE which is perfect for her

I wonder why US variant always get inferior model compared to international models. Even Samsung 8 has 6gb ram with 128gb storage international model.

Sorry, i misspoke.the 128gb s8 is available in China and South Korea only. Not sure why but for whatever reason they get the better versions of a number of phones.

It's unfortunate, indeed. I've always steered clear of the phablets. Yes, the SE is the perfect size!

I just sold my SE due to it being too small to simply read articles on the Web. 5 inches is the ideal size which the honor 9 will be 5.1 which makes it very attractive to me. I just could not read the tiny print nor watch a movie on the SE. 5.1 of the honor 9 will be near ideal.

With all due respect, China is by far the biggest market for companies like Huawei and Oppo.

Both sold close to 75 million units in 2016.

South Korea is always going to be the biggest market for Samsung.

Huawei and Honor starting to become more prevalent in Europe now, and thoroughly enjoying my 6gb RAM Honor 8 Pro but even that is a bit excessive.

4gb is perfect for most android phones.

Actually just counting one carrier in China...has a larger subscriber base than all USA carriers COMBINED. Huawei also sells a massive amount more phones to China than they do the USA.
