I absolutely love the Note 9....but the low-light camera performance is KILLING ME

Having to wait after the shutter isn't a normal practice, so that seems strange. My iPhone and pixel 2xl don't do that.

Hmmm
My Note 9 camera is great. There's a camera update being released soon which I've read will make it even better. But I guess you should go ahead and get the Pixel.

I'd love to keep the note.... I just need to see the fix first, lol

Actually it is, the longer you have the shutter open to let more light in the longer it takes to take the picture. Same goes for a DSLR camera.

Right, right...I'm totally understanding of that. But my last phones weren't as picky. That's what I'm comparing the performance to.

And this. Does AC lower the quality of pics because this is not how it looks in my gallery. Haha

I'm thinking it does. That's why most of the pics in the show your photos thread look like they could be taken from any phone.I

I was at a T-Mobile store today and they still had the low light contraption for showing off the dual aperture camera. It could be a good way to test it and you could compare it to the display models. Just a thought.

Smart! Thank you

No issues with low light. Stunning sharpness and phenomenal dynamic range. This is hand held.

My note 9 definitely doesn't take as good pictures of my dog compared to the Note 8. Hair is not focused.

I had to think for a minute to find out if pictures without cats even existed... Hahaha.

Here are a few in a pitch black room. One is just LEDs and the other is just from the glow of the monitor
