I am impressed with the LG G6

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

I wish the battery lasted longer. I don't get near the battery life many on here are getting. I think it's because I talk on the phone for work so much, but it doesn't last near as long as my iphone 7 plus, or s8 plus. Low light camera could be a little better, but not terrible. Overall I'm with you. It's been a really great device. I like where lg is headed. Almost forgot, I'm a little pissed everyone has done away with the IR blaster.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

I've had this phone since day one and I have to say... No complaints whatsoever.

What about you?

No complaints here. Battery life, performance and durability are outstanding. I'm on a business trip and I sent an email to LG thanking them for a great phone with solid build quality. Got a response and a thank you in return. Definitely have a loyal customer here.

love mine, no complaints . . 'cept for that camera scratching thing, I just ignore it and don't think about it anymore . . .

I had some LTE issues early on, but that was more a carrier issue. This phone has outperformed my G5 in every way (except for no ir blaster, I miss that, too).

This time I REALLY need the IR Blaster, I lost my remote when I moved. haha

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

Well it's my daughter's phone (she's 16) and it's the least I've ever heard her complain about her phone. She loves it and I enjoy it whenever I'm graced enough to handle it.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

Had mine since day one too. Still in love with it. Zero problems.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

My biggest complaint is the shutter lag(especially low light) and camera start up lag. I've tried with and without sd card and it's the same for me. I think I'm a bit spoiled comparing those aspects to the Pixel or even the the Mate 9.
There is some other noticable lag with other native apps like the
dialer on start up as well. This is my second G6(replaced).
Overall it's a great phone I just wish they made it but more fluid.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

I'm pretty happy with it; can't really complain. Only thing I really want different is the display to be about quarter inch wider, but I know it's not the big V series. Also a security update at least every 3 months should be the minimum and I'm beyond that at the moment. Front camera is very unimpressive, though ultrawide lens is nice for it. The deal prices are great and I would recommend it for a lot of people if they find a good price.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

Not necessarily complaints, but battery life could be better, I wish battery was removable, performance and shutter speed could also be a little better and I wish there was an option of crop to fit on the youtube app

My battery life started out kinda bad (especially considering I came from a Le Pro3 that often gave me two full days of normal use before needing a charge)...but it's actually gotten better over the last few weeks. Good enough that I still usually have between 30 and 50% charge when I go to bed every night.

Shutter speed is also pretty fast for me. MUCH faster than the previous phones I've owned (the Galaxy S3 and the LG G3). I also like having the ability to snap a photo using the volume button instead of having to tap the on-screen button. It makes taking pictures a bit easier.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

After buying a G6 and experiencing the build quality, smoothness, and camera quality firsthand, it's not hard to understand why LG is mentioned in the Pixel 2 rumors.

In the One Plus 5 Podcast, the guys mention how the LG G6 makes superb use of last years hardware. It's a contrast between the two devices, (the One Plus 5 and G6) as that its not the specs and current hardware that produce a fantastic experience but taking a balanced approach by optimizing what's good and efficient.

Very excited for LG and the G-series of devices.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

I had problems with the camera actually opening up, bit I turned off the option to see thumbnails of prior pictures, and that's made a positive impact.

Does the speed of the microSD card have any effect on camera lag?

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

My biggest complaint is the shutter lag(especially low light) and camera start up lag.

This goes for me as well (when I had my G6). That was my only complaint. Performance, battery life, call quality, etc. etc. worked great. If anything I do miss the dual cameras still. Wide angle lens was very fun :P.

re: I Have No Complaints about the G6

I've had a couple complaints come up recently but they're related to using the AT&T version. I think I'll switch the the unlocked version.

I'm becoming increasingly more disenchanted with the G6... the phone is great... great screen, wonderful performance and good battery life....

But...

I dunno... I'm sorry but the camera ain't nothing to sneeze at. Even in good lighting, it's processing pics to an inch of their lives and anything taken in not-so-ideal lighting ends up a looking like someone ran them through way too many photo filters. It's at the point where I might end up giving my wife, who takes far more pics than me, my 6P and take her G6... then deal with that until the Pixel 2s come out in the fall.

I find it takes really nice pictures, but doesn't give you results that pop and wow like other phones. I find the lag and inability to take a photo after you press the virtual or physical shutter button to be frustrating as well. So far these are my only real gripes.

I previously commented, but something else...
photo and video buttons are very close and I often accidentally start recording video.
