I have a serious problem with an incoming number on my Galaxy Note 9
I can receive ANY phone calls, (even Nigerian princes) but not calls from my doctor's office, which goes straight to voice mail, which I don't always check. I have had my local ph. company check and the doctor's office, but no one can find the problem. This is a serious issue because of an ongoing health problem. Can anyone please help?Thank you.

EVERYTHING has been tested and tried by the techs at the phone company, including the dr's office. The call just does not come through to me, even if I have the phone 6 ins away. It is very frustrating. I have been told to get a new phone, but they are too expensive for me. There MUST be a reason why that one phone call will go straight to voicemail. It has been checked to see if it's blocked. ( it isn't) . It is very concerning as I need the doctor to get through to me. Thank you for your reply.

I think it's a Galaxy 5 phone. Is there somewhere that it will show that? ( I'm sorry,as I said, I am not technical)so I may be difficult to help. Thank you.

Go to the system settings, then About Phone -- the model name/number should be there. Tell us what you see.

Ok, that makes more sense.

In case some 3rd party app is causing issues, try booting into Safe Mode and see if calls still go straight to voicemail: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/
Hmm. I didn't realize that going into Safe Mode—and back out—causes all your keyboard settings to disappear in Google Messages !:~\ In fact, now I'm not sure which keyboard I was even using! 👀
It looks kinda the same, but all my customization of it completely disappeared !:~\ Symbol keys changed; keyboard toolbar disappeared; all the 'alternative characters'—on the keys—disappeared too !:~\ Had to reset everything. 😐

Hmm, which phone do you have? In your system settings, search for Keyboard, and go to the On-Screen Keyboard option -- you should see the keyboards listed there. If you're using a 3rd party keyboard (and Gboard might be considered 3rd party if it's not a Pixel and didn't come with it preinstalled), I guess that could explain it ...

Thanks B.Diddy 😉 I don't want to detour the OP's thread, but yeah, I bet you're right; that I was using the Gboard keyboard, cuz this Samsung keyboard is different, with e.g., different alternative characters on completely different keys &c. Also completely different character keyboards &c.

• Also lost the digital clock widget off my homescreen, upon exciting Safe Mode.
• And this Samsung kb doesn't capitalize the i's ! Whoever heard of that!? 🙄
• And, it's harder to access comma's & emo's & everything else! 🤔😉🫡

I've heard of widgets having to be restored after Safe Mode, but I so rarely have to go into Safe Mode, that I'm not sure if I've ever experience that ...

Hopefully the OP will post again 🫤 , meanwhile, another odd & weird thing I've noticed ... is that when you come out of a display 'Color Inversion'—of which I inexplicably yet intentionally went into while in Safe Mode—the purple music notes emoji's, from the emoji fields, turn dark grey when txt'd, after switching back to normal – from a display 'Color Inversion' ! They're still purple in the emoji 'history', but they turn dark grey when txt'd.
Anyone else notice post 'Color Inversion' issues like that? Or perhaps it's just an odd glitch in my S23+ ?!
Not that it matters.
