I am on the 1st froyo leak

Is there a reason for me to either SBF to the official or download a newer leak -- Where can I find the newest leak ( .15 correct? ) Can i just jump from my build to a newer leak?

Any help would be appreciated

Basically how do i get to the official? can i sbf straight from the leak to 2.2 official or do i have to go to 2.1 to get to 2.2? Im not rooted

I was in the exact same situation as you a few days ago. If you'll look at the thread I started below, it details, with step by step instructions, the easiest way to upgrade to a newer leak. I installed the Rubix Focused 1.0. It was easy, it's stable and I love it.

So get rooted. It's a piece of cake (I used EasyRoot, but there are a number of options) and it opens you up to so much more. If you don't want to go that route, you'll have to flash the 2.1 sbf files and then upgrade to the OTA. If you want to do that, just do a google search for "flash 2.1 sbf on my droid x." Personally, I'd stay with the leak, root and go the Rubix route. I find the hacker development community to be much more responsive to issues than the OTA world. If you don't like it, you can always flash the sbf and then get the OTA.
