I bought the Flip 6 because of the Promotions, Trade-in, etc. I'm KEEPING it because of GoodLock.

I'll be honest, not into Foldables. I only gave it a shot because of Samsung's AMAZING pre-orders bonuses, promotions, trade-in credit!!! (being an addict is the reason LOL)

I had the Flip 3 and 4 but quickly sold it after 7-10 months. Why? It's messed up, you'll roll your eyes but I found it redundant constantly unclipping my phone. LOL

It didn't help that it wasn't my daily driver.

This year, I ordered the Flip 6 because Samsung basically gave me the Watch Ultra for free (paid $77 Canadian), after trading in my Watch 6 44mm and free Buds3. I can't remember all the discounts but IIRC Samsung saved me over $1,500 when it's all said and done.

My plan was to sell the Flip 6 likely at cost and keep the goodies but for some reason I decided to watch Tips & Tricks for it and this is when I learned about GoodLock. Yes, I've been living under a rock. LOL

Anyways, the feature that made me keep it is, I can USE ANY APPS on the COVER SCREEN.

I don't understand why Samsung can't make this a default, I read the Moto's new RAZR+ does this out of the box.

For the first time, It's now my daily driver, My S24U takes a back seat. LOL

That's awesome! I've never had a Flip, but I love Good Lock. It's such a cool app for all kinds of things.

Customization is one of the big draws with the Samsung phones you can really do a lot of different things. I think the flip is more for convenience on the go you can just slide that in your pocket but when you need to use the phone you have a full phone. When I had the flip what I would do at home is I would leave it open no need to be open close all the time

I am not familiar with Good Lock. I was disappointed in the limited number of apps that had widgets you could add to the outside screen. There are several apps I would love to have on there. So, i may have to try Good Lock out. Any reason for such a lackluster rating on the app store?

Personally, I love Good Lock. It allows you to customize many aspects of any Samsung phone, not just the Flip. That said, if you look at the reviews, most of the complaints are because it doesn't have a particular feature that someone wants. The other main complaint, which I agree with, is that once you install Good Lock you then have to install various modules to use any of the features. It would be better to have all of these in one main app.

It is pretty easy to use and very helpful, but finding everything is a bit daunting. But, there are lots of YouTube videos to help you out. As for the cover screen, I don't show all of my apps, just the top 24 that I regularly use. Makes the Flip much better!

Do you still have the Flip6 and are you still using it today? I am about ready to upgrade from my S22 Ultra and really considering the Flip ...but i'm just so hesitant on the folding screens. So if you still use it, how is the crease after all these months? I've read so many negative comments on Reddit that i'm thinking of just getting the S25U. I like the idea of portability with the Flip though

Here is my perspective: I have been using the Flip6 since the day it released and would not go back to a traditional "candy-bar" shaped phone. The crease on my Flip6 is virtually invisible -- I have not consciously noticed it in months of use. Just to check, I just pulled it from my pocket and ran my fingers over the screen -- nothing; smooth. and with the flexibility of Good Lock making apps available on the cover screen, that is my default, especially in voice calls. I do generally open it up for the larger keyboard when texting or running a Google search, but the Flip form factor works for me and the Flip6 is the best of the lot. My 2 cents.

I also have had mine since day one and I had the Flip 3, 4, 5 before it. I would absolutely dread having to go back to a candy bar phone. It's not 100% perfect, no phone is, but it works for me and I love mine. As for negative comments, people on forums and online sites, generally only post when they have a problem, not when things are going okay.

I am also very satisfied with my Flip 6. No problems with the screen or crease at all. I don't even realize that there is a crease! I have had the Flip 3, 4, 5, and now the 6 and it only gets better and better. I won't go back to a bar phone if I can help it.

Same here with no issues with a crease. While I really don't use the outer screen much, I love being able to fold it closed to make it far more convenient to carry on me.
