Android Central Question

Some apps show an icon on backup page, and i can backup those.
Most of them don't show any icon. When i try to backup them, i get an error message. These apps without icon aren't backup disabled.
I can't seem to find a solution what-so-ever.
Am i missing some kind of permissions?

Any help is appreciated.!!

Why do you need an .ab file? Apps are "backed up" as .apk files. (App Backup & Restore makes it easy.)

If an app has no icon, and can't be backed up, it's because it's a system file that you don't have access to, so you can't back it up. (But you don't have to, because it comes in Android.)

About the only thing App Backup & Restore won't back up is the app;s data, but the normal Google backup does that (along with backing up the apps). About the only reason to back an app up individually is to be able to install it individually. If you switch phones, just use the same Google account, and the new phone will restore apps and data from Google. (It's a slow process, but it runs in the background, so you can use the phone, plus whatever apps have restored so far, while it proceeds.)

@Rukbat I need that .ab file because i'm doing an experiment on the app Data. I searched for some time and found that Helium Backup provides .ab files after backup. One other method is I could root my phone and directly get the data but i would rather not do it. I'm not familiar with rooting and i'm scared something could go wrong

From what I've seen, Helium isn't compatible with current versions of Android. I found that out when it wouldn't work on my V20 with Nougat. When I've used it in the past, it combined the apps plus their data into one .apk file each. I never saw an .ad file when using it.
