i cannot change my screen lock type.

My screen lock type is set to swipe, and cannot be removed. Tried to change it, however nothing happened, although i restarted my phone a couple of times. The phone is samsung galaxy a7 (2018)

So you cant put a password or fingerprint as lock ?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you trying to change the screen lock selection to None (i.e., you just want the homescreen to show up immediately)?
