I cannot decide

I started out using Samsung phones 10 years ago. There was a lot to like about them, then and now. I switched to Google with the Nexus 5 and have never regretted it. I just got the 6 Pro and all I can say is that it's a great phone. You probably will get a good device either way you choose.

It also has UWB, and 12GB of RAM Vs 8, for what it's worth.

Personally I didn't see anything on the pro being worth the extra money.

The color option on both not the same, pro you can only get the 512gb storage and pro has the 11mp front camera and ultra wide little wider .
Some might not want pay extra 300 for those option , I wanted them so went with Pro .

I actually felt the same. The Pro's better display and telephoto had me interested, but not at $300.

I have the standard but of course wondering if I should have gone pro.

The rationale for my original decison (other than price) was I think on paper I preferred the slightly smaller footprint and felt that the flat screen , matt edges and smaller size would make for an easier to handle device. I had an S21 ultra and when used on the go I always felt I was going to drop the thing (I do not do cases)

I am probably right but now I find myself looking enviously at the telephoto and larger screen!

That's a pretty extensive list of upgrades. If the pricing has been higher, it would be easier to justify, but with the low prices they actually launched, it ends up being a 50% increase in price to go with the 6 pro. Still definitely arguably worth it if a number of those features are attracted to you. I couldn't resist, and went with the pro.

And if you're looking at the AT&t or Verizon model pixel 6 which includes millimeter wave, that $300 price difference is diminished considerably since those have a step up cost.

I think the difference is in how you view both platforms. Google phones run smooth, stock Android - which can be fluid and no-nonsense for some users; but boring for others. Samsung phones have a ton of customization and run their own apps which can be exciting and fun for some users; but bloated and annoying for others. It's all in how you look at it!

Personally, I loved both Samsung and Google devices and platforms for different reasons, but I prefer Google phones overall.

Agree 100%! The S21 Ultra is a GREAT phone but ridiculously overpriced. Google is proving that with the new Pixels. My 6 is great and MUCH cheaper than the Ultra...don't get me started about the value or lack thereof from the fruit phones...

I always opt for the biggest screen possible if I can. So much easier on my eyes. They being said, the 6 is reported to have slightly better battery life than the 6 pro. Hated that cam module on the 6 when it came out, but it grew on me and when holding both phones at a Verizon store yesterday; the 6 won out. That module edge was perfect for my finger.

As for useful specs for my use they were identical.

Nice! Enjoy. I know if I were looking to buy a phone, it would be a tough decision between the S21 Ultra and the Pixel 6 pro. The S21 seems a bit over priced compared to the 6 pro. But I'm pretty satisfied with the Ultra. I don't ever find myself getting bored with it. Tons of customization on it that I wouldn't get with the Pixels.

I got the 6Pro and love it!!! I do wish my cases had come faster bc this is one slippery phone!!! I'm using a popsocket just to be able to hang onto it right now. The cases should be here this week!
