I cannot unlock my phone, please help

I installed the latest update on my Samsung s6. i went to put some emojis in one of my text messages then the keyboard stopped working. I restarted my phone to try and get it to work and now i cannot sign in because the keyboard is not working. I have also turned it off and simulated a battery disconnect. and i am still unable to sign back into my phone. Please help
