Its sort of a confusing thread but it looks like hard resets and playing with certain settings will fix it. Glad you got it working! I have had no person experience with the problem but I remember the problem happening to a lot of people with Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Hope this helps! It may not but its worth passing the information along right?

Yes thank you, every bit of info you can get comes in useful to someone, When i got it to charge yesterday it stopped at 69% and the battery started to discharge, i googled and found a thread from 2011 which helped with that by turning off fast boot, turning off the phone and charging till the green light came on, i'm just now going to find out if it continues to work as it did yesterday.

It's going well, charged up to 100% just now, still only got the stock apps on though, thought it best to see how it goes for a few days before putting apps back in.....i had the Swiftkey trial which has adverts, is it best to buy the full one?

I was told that it could be 14 days but be prepared for it to be a month, i'm just so glad i got it sorted out, at the moment it seems ok (fingers crossed) This is the thing i don't like with Android phones, with Apple you just get another phone, no messing about, are you in UK?

Nope, DC area. I was told it could be as long as 7-10 days, but the rep also said it's usually much less than that.

Until then I'm sporting my wife's recently discarded iPhone 4S while she enjoys the 5s.

hope you get it back soon then, it's not so bad if you have another to use, i would have been completely stuck so I'm very glad i seem to have it sorted, just have to put some apps back on now and keep my fingers crossed.

I personally think Google Wallet is secure. My Visa card is on the account. Never had a problem with it and if I do Visa will take care of it for me! So you should have nothing to worry about.

Yeah, my wife's beat up iPhone 4s is a far cry from my One. Thankfully my One was boxed and tagged for shipment on Friday so it should ship Monday. Hopefully I get it before I fly out next week.

I hope you get it back before your trip, so far (touch wood) mine is ok, it was obviously a software problem.
