I have a confession. Last night I was messing around with my friends "ONE" and I really liked it. Today was day 13 for me with my GS4. I took it back and got the "ONE" and am very happy. I'm not going to talk smack about the GS4 as I've been a GS2, GS3 & GS4 owner but the "ONE" is the "ONE" for me. Blown away with the performance. I'm still learning the in's and out's of Sense so I will be asking alot of questions. I did talk smack about the "ONE" but take it all back. LOL

A couple wishes for now.

1. Give us the ability to have blink feed or not.

2. Facebook: I chose not to sync contacts, pics or calendar. Pics still show up in Gallery. (Dumb)

Going to change my sig. now.

1. Just swipe it to the left and don't use it for your home screen. I think it is great, why would you not want to be current on the news?
2. I'm with you on the Facebook. Right now you have to sign out of the Facebook app to not have it in all of the other stuff. Hopefully HTC will see the light and correct this. For now, if you want to use Facebook, you will need to sign in, then sign out. Who wants pics of everybody's dinners in their gallery? Not me.
3. I Think you will love the One, Facebook and Blinkfeed not withstanding.

If you dont sign in to Facebook in BlinkFeed and use the FB app are all the contacts added? I would probably just use the FB app then.

The One is a awesome choice. I have both the S4 and the One and am enjoying them both. But if I had to choose....it would be the One. Enjoy OP

There are solutions to both issues if you want to implement them -

1. Use a different launcher. You can still run blinkfeed like an app.

2. There is a thread on here about getting rid of the face book pics in the gallery - it works. I will try to outline how you do it here, but I am not sure I remember 100%.

You have to be signed into facebook app. Then go to app manger and disable it. Then go to the gallery and kill the facebook link. Then you can go back and re-enable face book.

I believe that is the proper order, but it could be those steps in some other order. Someone else may chime in our you may search for the thread.

I took a big gamble and ordered my One before the S4 was officially launched, so I could have been stuck with this years second best phone, but I wasn't. I can honestly say that I have never regretted it for a second. I went to a phone store with my wife last night and had my first hands on with the S4 and am now even more convinced that I madethe right choice.

Incidentally, my 4 year iphone devoted, tech ignorant wife went to the store to upgrade her iphone 4 to an iphone 5. Despite my frequent advice and many heated discussions she had never considered choosing anything else, until recently. No prizes for guessing what she left the store with!

A Lumia? I kid! I've also converted my die hard team iPhone wife to Android. She's got the Galaxy S3 though and it would have to be pried from cold dead hands to get her to switch to anything else.

Although she is excited about her new phone I am not looking forward to the experience. I told her that she would finally have to get a Google account and she asked why. This is a woman who points to the sky whenever she questions me about cloud computing, or witchcraft as she calls it. Pulling a Galaxy S3 from her cold dead hands is a terrible and horrific thought, a HTC One however.............

If you don't use Facebook, you should be able to disable it in the Application Manager.

I would probably have the One, but my carrier is in bed with Samsung and doesn't offer the One...so I have the S4.

Enjoy that amazing hardware and optimized UI guys..

I have to use a custom kernel to get rid of the lag on my S4. I love both phones though.

thinking i'm probably going to sell my S4 also. Love both phones and I actually change my mind day to day on which I like more but in the end there are far fewer things that annoy me with the One than with the S4. Just wish the One had the camera of the S4.
