During my now two months with the Thunderbolt I've had good battery life. So good in fact that I never even bothered to go in and do the Blockbuster fix (disabling the movie updates). After the OTA, I got even better battery life, really really great. But then for some reason I decided I should go in and do the Blockbuster fix. Well after that now my battery life is back to just 'good', not great. maybe a little less than good. Plus now after the 'fix' I see that there are BB related processes running that I have to go in and manually stop.

*sigh* I should have left it alone.

What happens if I uninstall the updates for the BB app? Will that help anything? Will it hurt anything?

That is part of the fix... You need to go back in and turn off the updates.

Open the Blockbuster Application, it will ask you to update, do it. Then once its update has finished open the application back up.. hit Menu>Settings>Disable Movie Updates and the process should stop.

I've had amazing battery life especially with the gingerbread leak. I'm going on 5 hours of browsing over 4g and I still have 49%. The battery really isn't the problem, you just need to tweak a bit.

Cyber- after I updated the app itself I did go into the app settings and disable the movie updates. The processes are still showing up in my running services until I force stop them. Then they seem to stay off until I do a reset (I usually reset the phone each morning).

Another thing I am noticing which may be unrelated is that my awake time isn't right. It is higher than it should be. For example I reset the phone a couple of hours ago and haven't really used it other than to check on the battery and now it says the.awake time is one hour and 15 min which is impossble.

Plus now after the 'fix' I see that there are BB related processes running that I have to go in and manually stop.
It may be manually stopping these processes, and then the phone needing to restart them, is much worse than just leaving them alone.

I never did the BB fix since my phone is rooted and I just completely removed the app so maybe someone who actually did the BB fix can help you out with that.

As for the awake time... I was helping somebody a few months back with that problem and it turned out to be the Calendar was syncing... which may be due to the Picasa account if you have one.

There's a way to view the Partial Awake Time along with other battery info.
Go to your dialer and dial *#*#4636#*#*
A screen will pop up with battery and phone info.
Go to battery history.
Change the option "other usage" to "partial usage"
It will show what was running while the phone was charging.
*You need to do this as soon as you unplug the phone so you can see right away what was running*

Here's the thread on it: http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-thunderbolt/73312-calendar-activating-awake-time.html

I updated Blockbuster App, disabled movie updates and haven't had a single BB process or anything running.

Dunno why you are having problems.
