I don't know what to do next!

I had upgraded OTA to ZVD, then I noticeds that my hotspot ability was killed. So, I followed the instructions here, and reverted back to ZV9. ZV9 gives me the ability to do a hotspot, but I have issues with this software version in that the data connection often stops and I need to reboot the phone to get it back.

I have also rooted the phone with z4root.

What I want is to have the ZVD radio (so my data connection stays up), but still have the ability to do the hotspot.

These are my only requirements...and I don't know what to do next. Can someone point me in the right direction?

If you are rooted then the next thing is to Install a custom recovery then a Rom.

Install the custom recovery, then update with the LG tool and then you can flash Nameless rom or CM7 rom (if you dont care for bluetooth quality).

First I would install Xionia CWMA custom recovery to keep all your options open.

Then you can LG Mobile Update to ZVD and install a recent custom ROM or if you'd like to run stock and still have hotspot, you can try KP500 to ZVC, which is the last stock version to still have hotspot. Based on the version numbering of the internal radio, ZVC and ZVD radio are very similar if not the same.

Also a lot of these data connect issues can be fixed with a ##786# reset. If you attempt to do this, backup everything as it will reset your data. Also you'd need your MSL from Sprint. Just call *2 and get tranferred to *tech support*, tell them your data isn't working and you tried to do an update profile and it didn't work so you were advised to do a ##786# reset but it is asking for a code. They'll give you a 6 digit # which is your MSL. Make sure you are running stock recovery or CWMA recovery or a #786# reset will semi-brick your phone.

Once you are on v9. Then upgrade to vd you can flash namelessrom and it has a vd hack than enables it while on vd
