T-Mobile Galaxy S8 I dont like Pillar boxing

I watch a ton of video and the cropping and zooming both suck and the Pillar boxing gives me the same real estate as a 5.5 inch screen. Not worth the price for me, so going back to my IP7+ and Note4.

Tried it for a week and nothing else (for me at least) warrants the phone other than new shinny.
I knew it had a longer screen and since its a new aspect ratio I have no one to blame but myself...bleeding edge takes guts.

If you strongly dislike crop to fit you still have a 6.2" for everything else that is not watching videos. The iPhone is bigger and has the same 5.5" you are complaining for watching videos but with physical bezels instead of virtual bezels, the same small screen for everything else plus LCD, lower resolution and worse looking screen overall

I'm going to put them back to back again but I swear when I sized it up videos pillar boxed on the s8+ were damn near same size as my 5.7inch V10.

I know, but it's not that much worse or should I say side by side the S8 isn't that much better.

You're right, because the V10 has two screens the main one is 5.5.

Incorrect. It's main screen is 5.7inch. The second screen is separate and just adds height above the main. Fun fact the S8+ in overall dimensions is almost identical in size to the LG V10. It's slightly narrower but because of the v10s larger bezel the screen width between them is virtually identical. The S8+ just has a taller display.

I haven't really noticed it. I have no complaints. Sorry you didn't like it though.
