So, I realized that there is hardly any bloatware in my TMobile S8 except for some TMobile apps like NameID, TMobile, Lookout and DeviceUnlock.

Last time I used an ATT S7 Edge, there were several unwanted apps and games. Seems like TMobile is way better in managing bloatware. Even TMobile apps are not intrusive like ATT's DirectTV Now bar and apps!

Am I missing something? :) If you are using an ATT/Verizon S8, do you have bloatware?

Note: I don't consider Samsung apps as bloatware.

I have half a dozen or so Verizon apps that came on my phone and two games, if I recall correctly. Been so long since I have had a Android before this S8+ I can't comment on if that's the normal amount or not but yeah, definitely not too bad. 👍

WoW! A dozen! How many of those can you uninstall/disable?

Half a dozen... But I just looked...I think all 8 were on phone when I got it.

AT&T is probably horrible with all the direct TV crap they are trying to push now. I think they have overtaken Verizon for the crappiest carrier device.

You can uninstall the dumb games Verizon installs.

Was surprised it wasn't so bad. 8 ATT apps in a folder & 2 Dtv apps. Disabled the latter within 2 min of purchase & will look into the others later. Really thought it would be worse.

My last ATT device wouldn't even let me uninstall Facebook. Was infuriating to say the least

If you can't uninstall it, you should, at least, be able to disable it.

Absolutely! The infuriating part for me was their decision to not let you uninstall it though. Is AT&T shareholders in Facebook? I just... ugh...

More on topic, as my first device on t-mobile, coming from AT&T, I loved the comparatively lack of bloat too.

Verizon should be dismantled. Their bloatware is notorious!
I am with Verizon and personaly don't find their bloatware bad at all and you can uninstall or disable everything accept for Voicemail, which is pretty useful anyways.

My note 5 , and the wifes S7 Edge on at&t was loaded with bloatware.

Coming to verizon I lost Android pay, Samsung pay and Facebook.
3 APPS i really wanted off my phone.

Not to mention all the At&t apps I didn't like.
Verizon has some apps, I haven't even tried to take them off yet.
But I got a lot of notifications on the apps turned off.
Like email, gmail

I have verizon which came with about 7 Verizon apps and two games but you can delete both these games and most of the apps, so no big deal. I kept these but will probably disable Message+ because I use Samsung's stock messenging app.

I personally find AT&T to be the worst. Not only is their bloat in your notification panel as big advertisements they also always charge the most for all their Android phones.

I have AT&T and haven't noticed a lot of bloatware compared to what I had on the S7E and the S5 before that. I actually have direct tv through AT&T because I upgraded to the unlimited data plan and so I use the Direct Tv app to watch tv live wherever I am. I also use the my AT&T app for bill payments and such. Everything else I disabled through package disabler pro. So far so good with this phone. Also love how there is no longer an AT&T logo on the back!
