I drained my android phone to 0% for the first time.

So, i accidentally forgot to charge my phone when it reach below 40 percent last night, due to tiredness i slept with the mobile data still on and when i woke up the phone is completely drained. I read so many articles here in google and is worried. So i want to ask if will it damage my phone?

No u didn't damage but want avoid doing this often as can degrade the battery.

Once in a while isn't likely to have noticeable degradation, but just don't make a habit of it.
