That's no good! I've seen quite a few former Note 7 users who have said they held on to their SPen and it she in the Note 8.... Maybe you can find one of them cheap? eBay or something?

Yeah I been looking on Amazon ...that's where I got my replacement for my note 5 when I had it. I wish I would have kept the pens from my note 7 and the note 7 replacement

I thought I posted something on this from where I did my search on eBay when you first was talking about losing your S Pen one side has them for $5. 99 on eBay and I assume it'll work with this phone it said if would. I'm thinking about ordering a couple just to have on hand just in case.

I am possibly going to order back ups as well but for now Samsung is sending me another via warranty option so worked out for me.

thanks again everyone. no worries, I'll get it fixed soon enough. As far as my insurance goes, they worked with me to get adequate coverage since I've been with them for awhile. And finally, yes I tend to put phones in my pocket lol It's so darn slippery that the act of me sitting down caused it to slide right out and onto the ground. I'm not a case person in general but this baby will be getting one asap!

Long story short? My repaired Note 8 should be arriving today. Yes you read that right. TODAY. It's been more than a month and I'm just getting my phone back. I'm dropping my third party insurance which is actually excellent and getting Asurion from VZW because sending anything to Samsung is an exercise in studying the rings of Dante's Inferno...

no actual experience, but figured this would be the case after calling CS two times in the past. clueless and unhelpful was the best I can offer from the experiences and so figured buying from them directly for anything more than a case would not be something unwise to do, moreover insurance with anyone else is preferred for shipping and returns.

Mine was in my pocket two days after I got it and it cracked the top left similar to the OP. This was the day before I got my case. I dropped it yesterday and now found similar damage to the bottom right of the screen, this time in the case. Seems like it's the top layer that is lousy. Really makes me mad since this is the fourth Note I've had and never had such issues.

So I have had my new Note 8 for not even two full days aaaaannnnd this happens... I'm literally waiting on my case from Amazon to arrive, I have the phone in my left pocket. I go to sit on the carport stoop, and I immediately hear a 'CLACK' I look down and find my new beautiful Note screen cracked.

This thing is SLIPPERY AS HELL AND EQUALLY AS FRAGILE. Thank goodness I have really good third party insurance.

A cup decided to jump out the cupboard and land on my Note 8 while it was charging (either that or one of my kids knocked one out of said cupboard, no confession as yet). As expected the screen is destroyed, luckily I have insurance and my replacement is due to arrive from Carphone Warehouse on Thursday. My first ever claim. I know I have to keep accessories such as the charger and adapters, is the SPen classed as an accessory ? Do replacements come with an SPen ? Do I just handover my broken phone sans box ?

Using my trusty S6 edge at present.

When I replaced mine for a factory defect I asked and they told me to keep everything. So now I have an extra set of the peripherals.
Ask next time you talk to them.

Ouch now that's painful lol. I've been pretty over protective with mine. So glad to have the Note 8 after that double recall Note 7 debacle a year ago.

Now I have dropped it a few times but it's been in a case since day 1 and not a scratch. Usually I cart it around with me or stick it up in a prot3cctive cupboard area when charging if need be.
