I forgot my knock code

I have a LG Stylo and cannot use my phone at all. How can I bypass, reset, or delete the knock code?

Actually the thread to the lg g3 does NOT work due to the fact our lg stylos (or at least mine did) got an update to Android 7.0 nougat. Of which there is no option for a backup pin or account. I've tried restarting my phone in recovery and clearing the cache even...only thing ik to do is a remote reset or a factory data reset.. really a bummer...
