I get this gray bar on the top of my screen when I have a black wallpaper

I get this gray bar across the top of my screen when I have a black wallpaper
It only shows on my home, lock, and recent apps screen. It goes away when I increase the brightness but on low brightness it is highly visible. I've tried factory resetting the phone but it didn't change anything. It does not show any changes with different colored wallpaper or while using any app that has a black background.

Agreed. It must be a defective screen because it doesn't show in the screen shot.

Disagree. I can see it if I click the link and zoom in on the screenshot. It's a couple shades lighter than the black of the wallpaper, but I can see where on a phone screen it could be distracting.

No clue what's causing it, but the OP isn't hallucinating...
