Galaxy S3 might already have crossed iPhone 5 cumulative sales I think.
Oh that guy again.... he looks like a troll who always replied to particular (iphone) thread. Just look at his posts history. Anyone familiar with his/her act usually ignore him.

Then I don't see how the claim can be made that Apple has the best selling smartphone. There does not appear to be any actual data supporting that conclusion. That's gonna be tough. I'm not sure Apple ever releases sales numbers for individual models.

At one time we probably could have made the assumption that Apple sold the best because the sales figures for every other smartphone were obviously a lot lower. Nowadays, I don't think we can make that assumption anymore. The Galaxy S4 in particular obviously sold very very well.
You're really reaching now.

Typically iPhone people bring this up when trying to demonstrate why the iPhone is better than Android phones. Since Android crushes iOS in every other metric, this is their go-to statistic to prove iOS still matters.I just don't see why anyone cares what phone sells the most.
People voted with their wallets. Thats why Android leads in marketshare and Windows Phone is struggling and Blackberry is virtually dead.Just use the phone and platform that best suits you. Both Android and iOS are doing just fine, and Windows phone not so much, but choice is the consumers best friend.

The zero evidence you have posted to support that claim has convinced me.Ask the 4 major U.S.carriers. iPhone is their #1 seller 99% of the time, whether it be a 4, 4s, 5, or 5s, depending on the year.
I probably would. If someone made a ridiculous claim (such as "OMG iPhones are not even in the top 10 anymore") I would call them on it. I've done it before. If I said 'iPhones suck and don't sell so well how many here would be saying, "Source? Where's your evidence to support that claim?"

(Lots of people do not buy phones through the carriers, even assuming your claim is true...lots of them buy phones through 3rd parties like Best Buy or Amazon or Car Toys or whatever)
S4 is the best selling Android smartphone, and the 5s has nearly doubled S4 sales. I think it is safe.

Wouldn't you think that those numbers would count, as they are activated on the carriers?
