Restrictions are everywhere.

I disagree. A really obvious example is the Google market...it is completely optional. If Google bans an app, I can install it anyway if I want, and I don't need to hack my phone to do it. That is not true on iOS.

Android has built in escape hatches for any industry-level restrictions. iOS does not. Google does not monitor or control a single piece of my music.

That could be one reason for some malware on Android and not on iOS, although I have never had any on Android.

True and there are positives and negatives for that. Also Google has removed apps remotely from people's devices.

Google does not monitor or control a single piece of my music.

So if all the music I have bought and listen to on my S4 and iPad is purchase from Amazon, that means that Apple is monitoring and controlling my music?

I don't know if this is a strawman or a lack of understanding. Either way it is not the case.

I think he means its hard to move around music bought from Apple than it is from Google.

Almost exactly what I said. Apple made it popular and now anyone else who does it seems to be copying even though it came on an android phone first.

I've found myself into any phone that runs smoothly with good user experience recently. I started with iPhone until the 4. Switching to Android and Motorola atrix 4g..lol. I was amazed at the things I could do as far as customization. After, went to Samsung and the Note 1 a 2. Loved the big screen for a while and all the gimmicks it had. I was like "cool"!! Now I have a Moto x and this phone has changed my whole view on what a phone should be for myself. It's a very very smooth phone with useful features and a perfect screen size and for the pocket. I love Android but not most of the skinned phones from many manufacturer any more. Imo they are all lost in the spec war, while losing what Android is supposed to feel like. Most now are just crammed with the most crap and don't have a smooth feel. So if Motorola/Levono don't make another phone with the current philosophy, I'll will probably go iphone if the screen is bigger, that's my only hangup right now. It's the only other phone that is truly optimized fully imo. But make no mistake, I'm extremely happy with the Moto x and I'm looking forward and praying they keep an X2

A question even Sherlock Holmes would have a hard time answering. Samsung likes the idea of a fingerprint scanner and it falls in line with their idea of everything with the kitchen sink on their flagship phones.

Absolutely not. And then there is the 64-bit processor that Samsung said was unnecessary. Aren't they releasing one?

Via the Market...which you can uninstall. No Google services are required to use any Android device. Google cannot remove squat from your device if you are only using Amazon's market, for example.

It was a risk they chose to take. No one forced them to disable their security and do that.

I would like the option of doing that if I want to. I want to decide what risks are acceptable for me...not Google or Apple.
