Picked up my bounty from the NYC Chelsea Google Store about 45 mins. ago. A lot of people doing the same but the line moved fast! I will need to hit T-Mobile to switch the e-sim so I won't be able to use it until Saturday as I have to be in the office tomorrow.

Got my 8/ Hazel today. The best thing and reason I ordered it is the size. So nice to hold a smaller phone and not throw my thumb out trying to reach the far corners.

Isn't it like .1mm smaller?

Got mine earlier today. I love it so far. The blue is really nice, my favorite color; and they did a good job.

They did a really great job on the blue. It's the shade that you'd expect for the S23 Ultra to have .

You have your sim in it?
If so clearing data then force stop the phone app should bring it back

I got mine - charger on left - Pixel in the middle - case on right
Now I can rest - copying from P7P was the faster than any previous copies.
After it is fully charged I'll go through all the settings to get them where I want them

Everything went well with set up, except I can't get Gboard install ed- tried everything Google search suggested - zilch - nothing - nada - butkis....

Took a day off from posting yesterday to get a bunch of things done, including setting up my P8Pro.

I am in love with this thing.

Build quality is amazing. Feels fantastic in my hand. I know it's the same size as my P6P but some how it feels bigger and wider. Certainly flatter too.

I'll post in the case thread too but the plain Google case is wonderful. Smooth rubbery feel, but not slippery. This is a good quality case. I looked back at the Google case for my P6Pro and it is cheap plastic garbage compared to this one.

Early days/hours, but I am very very happy with the upgrade to the 8 Pro so far!

How's the official Google case?

After having used the official Google case for a few days now, I wanted to provide more detail. The case fits very snug and seems much better quality than with previous phones. Though the case is smooth, it has a good rubber grip, I really notice this on the sides. Feels really sturdy, highly recommend.

The P8P is now boxed up, along with the watch, and will returned to BB Monday. I finally made a mature decision that it was way too much to spend for the little I use a phone. I still have the P8P which is in excellent shape.

Very wise and mature decision!! I can see your reasoning ... While the 8 Pro is indeed a very nice device, justifying the upgrade from the 7 Pro is tough as it too is a solid device.
