PLease excuse my grammar or spelling mistakes i am not a great writer!
ok so i am sure many of you who are phone junkies are feeling like me now. I am using the iPhone 5 now boring only thing i like is that the phone,iPad,macs all sync together. i have a blackberry as my pure business phone the BB 9900 i cant help it i like the keypad sometimes i will get he Q10 to replace it when its released . In the last month i have had the z10 i got it from blackberry before it was released because i made friends with the right guy, the fact the phone has no great apps and the only good feature was the hub but keyboard was just ok. I could barely see the words of the predictive suggestions because they blended in with the keyboard also i am older so i do use reading glasses(ha). I went and got my self a droid razr m because i like the size and i heard it was a good phone for the money. I am thinking of getting the s4 when it comes out i do love android just because i can tinker with the phone a bit make it fun. i just cant find the perfect phone. i know u have to play with each one to decide which is perfect for my needs but i must say the new phones that are being released are just phones with more bells and whistles then quality and have become more then a phone. i wish i can design the perfect phone but in todays world it just does not exist. i use my phone for calls, email, texting, oh i like to play games sometimes but i also want a quality feeling phone. will the s4 do it? stay with iPhone 5? who the **** knows anymore i just want a great quality phone that can do all that i need. i am 49 years old and i am up to date on most tech in the market today i am not scared of trying something new i just cant figure out what phone will give me what i want.

Question to all what phone would u get at this point in time? i would just like to have input from others who are like me looking for the perfect phone for now.

I have had BB. On my 4th Android. Had HTC now the Samsung Galaxy Note2. This is the best device I have owned to date. Love my white Note2 . No lag. Screen is awesome. Internet is fast. Everything about it is great. Love the S pen. I use it a lot. I have the best in this.

Look into the nexus 4. Very affordable nice sized screen for your reading issues. Will always have the latest software. At least until your upgrade time and past. Check it out.

I am looking for alternatives because Android doesn't offer any advantages. Any perceived hardware advantages are purely subjective and on the software side they are actually a bit behind in average joe usability features (cause Photo Spheres are more important than reading mode in the browser, I guess...?). Need something more productive, and a bit less buggy.

Prolly go into the AT&T store next week and look around. Learning towards the Nokia 920 or BB Z10.

Android simply isn't an option anymore:

1. Not being able to leave feedback for apps I paid for without signing up for Google+ is a slap in the face. Didn't require it to get my cash... Literally can't even rate an app without it... WTF?
2. No Native Podcast App/Repo is becoming a huge problem. $3.99 for a Podcast app, no thanks. Google Music should support them, IMO.
3. No decent stock Office App. Google Drive is worthless for that, and the Windows app is buggy and [often] randomly doesn't start up.
4. Too many silent updaters in their Windows Software.
5. No reading mode in Browser. Chrome for Android is kind of embarrassing...
6. The email clients are bad. Gmail doesn't let you clear your trash (i.e. to get sensitive email out of your account). Stock Email client is terrible.
7. Google Talk Voice/Video blocked over WiFi/3G. No Picture Transfer.
8. No Social Network integration. As in, no Univ. Inbox for Social Services like in BB Hub/Me Hub. No shortcuts to post unless you clutter your phone with widgets that have differing design languages and look and feel.
9. Google's "App for that" way of integrating their services, when every other OS vendor has moved past 2009 and is integrating things in a more seamless and transparent way (i.e. SkyDrive/Office in WP8 or iCloud services in iOS - for Android you have 10 apps instead and some tick boxes in Sync settings).
10. They make it a PITA to get your data from Google Music. Their auto downloader is unintelligent and will happily duplicate several Gigs of Music to your hard drive.
11. Android still doesn't properly support Group MMS conversations.
12. Google's inability to leverage stock OS components to connect to Android in lieu of installing a ton of Google Software on your computer. Very different from how Apple allows you to install just the iCloud Control Panel and Sync Bookmarks from IE and PIM Data from Outlook. Also, refer to #4.

So, by leaving Android I can remedy much of those issues, and in addition to that, completely rid myself of a redundant online account (Google Account) and use my main email elsewhere... Clearly the L920 would be most seamless, but I like the way the Z10 allows you to manage communications on Social Services a bit more efficiently (it pushes everything), so I'm leaning heavily towards it.

Most of the issues u posted either was wrong or has gotten corrected. And another thing unlike iOS and bb just because all phones are android some support different options right out the box.

I got an HTC one but the battery is dying way to quickly, I'm considering Samsung Note 2. Heard that the battery on thats pretty good and the pen makes it really worker friendly for notes and scribbles of ideas. The only issues is that its not that portable considering the size.

Actually it is alot more portable than you would think. Mine lives in my front pocket and there are very few times it has caused an inconvenience. It is the best phone ever!

I came over to Android from BlackBerry after 5+ years. At first I tried the HTC One X+ and liked it alot but a couple of coworkers and vendors have the Note 2 and raved about it. I switched to the Note 2 and love it. The funny thing is when I see someone else holding a Note 2 it looks big but when I hold mine it doesn't feel as big. Screen is great!

Since getting my Note 2 I haven't picked up my BlackBerry PlayBook. I recently turned it off and am getting ready to post all my BB items online for sale.

I was reading that Samsung is planning a Note 3 with a 5.9" screen and then a 6.3" screen. That might be getting into the too big size. I'm hoping Samsung will come out with a 12 or 13" tablet.

The nice thing for me is that I also have a 60" Samsung Smart TV and with AllShare I can view items from my phone on the TV wireless.

Just now, Note II maybe the best phone, so many friends of me who use iPhone4s or iPhone5 recommend me to buy Note II.

Check out the HTC 8X too, IMO nicer than the Lumia 920.

You're not crazy.
With so much smart phones releasing, its hard not to seem that way!
