I HATE the latest update of Lollipop, how do I go back to the previous software?

I do not like the new layout at all. I would like to go back to the way it was before the update. Is it possible and if so how do I do that?

It's not straight forward. You will need to root your phone and install a previous version. Something I don't know how to do. Have you tried installing a launcher?
