I have 2 target apps in the app drawer

My classic go to answer is uninstall, reboot, and reinstall. And see if that solves the problem.

Forgot to mention I also have the target app and there's only one copy in my app drawer.

So yesterday evening I purchased a pixel 8 pro, had to at least try it out. I installed the target app and I only shows one icon, but it does show a lower software number for the app. It's the same one as @mustang7757 , weird how a fresh install from the app store is lower than the S23U

Probably that version making it's way to devices as it's the latest

Hi!! I just checked & it shows the same on my phone. I haven't have this issue before after an update...any update on getting it fixed??

now this is interesting. I have certain apps in folders, hidden, etc as I use Nova. But out of curiousity as I remember a Target popping up in my app drawer the other day, I searched in my app drawer in Nova and come up with 2 Target icons. Same version as the OP showed. If I just click the target icon itself, both open the app itself. When I long press, one says Wallet and if you click the wallet shortcut, takes you directly to the Wallet tab within the app. The other looks like the regular app and doesn't have a shortcut.
If I uninstall, it removes both. reinstall results in two icons again. left a note with the developer. Very strange.

Yes, that is the same that happened for me, 1 reflects wallet & the other is the app..I have set it aside for right now & will come back to research more later

A prior version reverts the cosmetic issue. Reinstallation of the .41.0 version reintroduces the issue. I submitted a report to their CS team, who claimed they forwarded the issue to the app team responsible.
Yeah there's an issue with that app , good you reported it .

I've also had 2 Target App icons since Friday.

When opening either 1, they both go to my Target account as normal. I pressed & held each app icon & the 1st showed a pop-up menu for Information, Widgets & Wallet. The 2nd menu showed Widgets & Information. I uninstalled 1 & BOTH were uninstalled. I re-installed the Target App & both icons came back.

I checked & both apps show the same version: 2023.41.0
BTW: I'm using the Motorola Moto G Power (2020) w/Android version 11

I chatted w/an agent on Target's website, he also said it may be a glitch & to check on it in a day/2.
But I'm still going to contact Target though the app as well, they may have more information.

I've noticed the same over the past few days. I have tried to Uninstall the Target app. That erased both icons. When I downloaded the Target app again, it showed 1 icons again. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I'm curious if this is related to Android 14. I'm running the beta and the latest Target app update happened after the Android 14 beta update.

I had the same problem (2 target apps) and uninstalling one uninstalls both. Saw the problem even after reinstalling. Restarting phone fixed it for now.

I downloaded the Target App version 2023.41.1 & that fixed the double-icon problem.
There is now only 1 icon & going into my Target account is no problem.
