How does the leather backing feel in-hand? Is the stitching annoying while using in either landscape or portrait orientation? To me the stitching in the middle of the device seems like it would be a nuisance rather than a feature but was waiting for it to be handled before passing any judgment.

I'm digging the leather so far. It's nicer than the leather on the Moto X I think. It's got a decent amount of grip to it, which is so nice coming from the S6 edge. The stitching isn't nearly as pronounced as it looked like it was going to be from the promo shots LG was leaking. I'm only a few hours in, but I don't really notice them when holding the phone. I think they're mostly just nice to look at.

the sample photos that I've seen so far are fuzzy and not very impressive.(compared directly to the GS6)

Outside? S6, hands down. LG makes a damn fine screen, and the one in the G4 is fantastic, but the S6 backlight is like having a tiny sun in your pocket.

What about inside Russell? How does the resolution on each screen compare in your opinion? Color accuracy, etc...?

based on those 4 photos (G4 vs S6), I think the S6 is clearly the winner.... but can't really be 100% sure unless I see the pics in original resolution(not at 1920x1080)

The resolution on both is great. Even without glasses on, my eyes hands all of the words in an article just fine. Samsung's auto-brightness is more capable than LG's, I think, and that AMOLED display makes whites pop in a way LCDs just can't do. That said, without bringing accuracy into it, colors feel more natural on the G4.

I've not seen any text over-sharpening yet. Been reading this thread and a few emails, some social apps. So far, so good.
