I have a G6 infront of me, ask away

Did you have it shipped through UPS or USPS? I ordered today overbthe phone and I was given the choice. I'm wondering if this affects when it will arrive.

I wasn't given a option. I did overnight shipping and it was UPS.

Well, I need to ask.

How's usability? Does it feel too tall in comparison to some other phones with the same width?

And how's low-light performance? Juan Bagnell on Pocketnow confirmed my initial thoughts when he remarked that the smaller sensor causes low-light performance to be a little behind its predecessors, at least for now.

It feels really good. It's actually smaller than I was expecting. Compared to the V20 it's not as wide nor nearly as tall. The screen is narrower, more like a 5.1 inch screen. Reaching the top one handed still takes a slight adjustment in the hand for me, but definitely much more manageable.

Compared to the V20, low light in auto appears a little better, but I didn't get a chance to play with the camera much last night.

Can the LG skin be themed to an all dark theme like the OnePlus 3T? With the menus and submenu all dark?

Thanks

That usability sounds really good.

Makes me excited for the next round of flagships.

I am upset that there is no ability to schedule the blue light filter - it has to be turned on manually.

thats how it is on the V20 too, which is annoying. Great feature, but needs a schedule, I emailed that suggestion into LG, but got a rather generic response

Does the G6 feel or look out of proportion? It appears, in pictures anyway, like a skinny (width) really tall phone.

It depends on your perspective. If you are coming from a traditional 5.7 display, it will seem a little narrow. If you are coming from a 5.1, it will just seem a bit taller. It doesn't look or feel out of proportion to me at all. The biggest adjustment I had coming from the V20 was getting used to the smaller text (I have terrible eyes). It's nothing drastic, just different.

Yes! How snappy is this thing?
I haven't really tested performance yet, but it is definitely a quick device doing day to day tasks. Apps seem to install faster than my V20 or S7E, but I haven't installed many games, nor had the time to play them.

Have you heard any mention of LG pay? From what I understand LG has been working on that basis and for a while now and that is a direct competitor to Samsung pay if or when it rolls out period that is basically the only reason I don't have an LG v20 because it doesn't do Samsung pay

I have played a few games so far like Sim City and Temple run. No issues. Seem speedy. Apps load faster than my v20 did for sure. It is pretty speedy. Haven't got any lag yet since the initial set up process where I was downloading numerous apps. Now everything is running smooth.

It's coming to Korea in the near future. No word on a US release. Supposedly it works similar to Samsung Pay and can be used on non touch-pay enabled readers. That's all I know.

Well sounds like it's still quite a long ways off thanks for the update
