AC Question

I have a Galaxy S4 with Rogers. Have upgraded to 4.4.2 and cannot now use my SD card memory.

The unit is an SGH1337M and the limited memory access is causing me frustration. Any suggestions and recommendations? Obviously I would like to upgrade to 5.x.x when its available.

You can. Any app can create a folder on the SD card and use it. Another app can't put files in it.

Up to 4.4, the SD card was an external storage device. Since 4.4 it's part of the phone's file system, subject to the same permissions restrictions as the rest of storage. If you want to change that, the phone has to be rooted. Then, if you're not comfortable editing system files, run NextApp SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD (root) to do it for you.
