I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

If you pinch/zoom out in the browser or email client does the text reflow? Does the stock email client have the function to select all the emails at one time, then delete them?

The screen is much better than the Gnex. Blacks are as deep but looks more natural. Speed is very impressive but wouldnt say mindblowing. Apps open much faster however but think that is more about the Ram. Google now is about the same..

Please post some comparison screen shots.

We should disassemble the Nexus 4 to check if it's the same sensor as AT&T Optimus G :D
For the software, LG always sucked with it. I'm glad it's pure AOSP and directly supported by Google.

As reviews start coming out, more information and pictures will allow us to really dig in and figure out the camera...just wish that was now...lol. but yes a teardown is probably necessary to determine if the sensors are in fact the same. As long as the end result on the Nexus 4 is good, I guess it won't matter. just hoping that reviews confirm this.

  • To clear any confusion: do both the "unlocked" and "Tmobile" versions of the Nexus 4 support 42mbps HSPA+? (ie: I am with Tmobile in a 42mbps HSPA+ city, but am not on a contract and don't want to be on one, so I wanted to get the unlocked version and pray it supported 42mbps.)
That's already been answered.... Tuesday, I believe. By Phil.

Does it have [such and such accessory]?
You can get that answer on the Play store page, under "In the box." Jeez....

... Why do people always ask that as if signals are the same everywhere? That's not to say there can't be blanket issues (see Verizon GNex), but that's not exactly something you can quantify from a single usage case. Gonna wait till they go on sale for that to pop up.
Actually not too hard to compare. Pop your SIM in a phone you kinda know well (another daily driver), look at Settings | About Phone | Network, note the Signal Strength, then do the same on the phone under test. No, it's not scientific, but I'd presume you see similar numbers (dBm, asu). If you don't, that's notable.

Somewhere where you have 3 bars (i.e. not fantabulous reception) would suffice.

Yes. You're going to see all sorts of weird angles and reflections and stuff in still pics. The one I posted is accurate, but it's not like the back of the phone looks like that all the time. It's really nicely done.

I hope you're right (you generally are, I'll grant you that). Until I see proof (or see it in hand) I still think it's the "Hanna Montana Nexus 4."

does it come with that little rounding thingy lol for wireless charging out of the box? or do I have to purchase it separately ?

I've seen it asked a couple times in this thread already (maybe you are saving the answer for your review) but I am also curious about the volume of the ringer/notification speaker. One of my few gripes with the GNEX...
Thx for your time.

The inductive charger is sold separately. I believe I read somewhere that it's supposed to retail for something like 55 USD but I can't find it again right now.

would you say it's faster than the Galaxy S3? also Which would you recommend to someone coming from the LG G2X?

its been asked and answered a few times, not to mention straight from matias duarte's mouth.... its a sony 8mp BSI sensor.

lol... i hear ya i would like to see it, but that guy has probably been using this phone since before we knew about it... (not to mention who knows what else!!) I would guess that he is right.

Pic samples on XDA are OK. I am hoping they changed a bit with the software as most if not all of those pics were taken on preprod phone i am sure, but they look meh.... I was really hoping it would be on par with my one s in terms of camera, but i just dont think its going to happen. Its painfully obvious how much better the HTC camera app is when switching from a sense rom to AOSP.... AOSP needs a WAY better camera app IMO. REALLY hoping i am wrong though.
