I have a problem with my microphone on samsung galaxy s8 when I put my headphones in my microphone stops working how do I fix it?

When plugging in headphones with the microphone active, it expects an in-line mic with the headphones? Do yours have one? If they do, the wiring might not be compatible with your device...
