I Have A Sinking Feeling About The Speaker Volume Stregnth

I am seeing lots of hands on videos and reading articles with raves about the camera, design, assistant, battery, and so on but not one word of an actual speaker demo.
Some of these are in loud convention rooms and some are not.

If I missed it lemme know.

I have heard only generally positive about the speaker volume so far. Nothing negative at all except for one poster in 1 thread here who said it was about like the Pixel XL. I think we look for things to worry about sometimes, no? :-)

From the first impression videos everyone seemed to enjoy it. In the crowded demo room they said they could hear it without issue.

Speakers are great. Tested them yesterday and they were loud and crisp. On par with the U11 speakers, which sound really good for having a down firing speaker and a smaller earphone speaker.

Sorry you feel that way -- I personally don't see any jabs. Just people discussing the topic at hand :).

I believe the last suggestion you received was with good intentions. The question you're asking will lead to very subjective responses. As an example speaker output to me is not that important so if I lend you my opinion it may not help you because I am easily satisfied. If we are talking headphone output, that is a different story because I use mostly headphones. If I go back to Verizon today I'll try the speakers, but take into consideration that I am used to phones with one speaker so it's liable to sound great to me.

The smaller and Pixel and the XL should both have the same speaker volume and quality, right?

The regular P2, as it's made by HTC, should have pretty good output?

Conversely, maybe the reason for the much smaller bezels on the XL is that LG made that one and they produce their own displays, unlike HTC, which also explains why the U11 doesn't have the minimal bezels style.

Sorry if I offended you if it was my post, was just suggesting that you can go to a store and hear the speakers and decide for yourself if they are loud now that display models are in Verizon stores.

The speakers are definitely a good thing about this phone. I have a u11 and the 2 xl sounds just as loud and in my opinion produces a better overall sound quality.
