i have forgotten my mobile password. how do i unlock it without loosing data?

Samsungs may allow you to change it via your account, but you haven’t told us what phone you have.

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with belodion. For Samsung phones, you can try using Find My Mobile to remotely unlock the phone. Otherwise, you're out of luck. Treat your phone's password as if it were the combination to a safe containing all of your valuables -- if you forget or lose your safe's password, you're up the creek unless you spend a lot of money to hire a safecracker.
