I have got a blue spot on my screen on the side half way down why is it there? it really annoying

There is a blue flash spot on the right side of my screen when it is in lock mode and also when I am turning it on. It has only just appeared how do I make it go away

Do you have any type of 'quick settings' app installed or setting active in your device (without specific device info it's hard to tell)? If the spot is there over any screen/app, it might be screen burn-in (and actually might be permanent damage on the display panel).

If you tap it, does anything happen?
