I have HTC one E8,my phone is not detecting earphone

My phone is not detecting earphone,earlier it war working properly before few hours,and my backlight automatically blink in few seconds regularly,and sometimes CAR app activate automatically,i dont understand why all these problems come suddenly and simultaneously...pls help??

Welcome to Android Central! Are these wired or Bluetooth headphones? If wired, check the headphone jack to make sure there's no debris in there. Use a can of compressed air to blow it out.

HTC released system update to solve that Car Mode issue. Install "System Update" to solve all these problems. Update your HTC E8 to android 5.0.2 and then backup all data. Perform a Factory Reset. Then it will solve all the problems.

It could possibly be that the earphones are damaged? I had a pair of skullcandy fix and had this problem after some time.
