I have no themes option on my new smasung j3

Hi,
I just bought my samsung j3 and there is no themese option anywhere in settings or when I tap and hold the home screen.

How do I get this to appear?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you buy it brand new from a carrier? Are you certain it's the 2016 version, or could it be the 2015 version? (I'm not sure if that matters, but it's possible the older version doesn't support themes.)

it is a brand new phone and I a have also read other people using similar phones eg j2 have no theme option either

What's the exact model number in Settings>About Phone? Just want to make sure it's a genuine Samsung phone, and not a clone.

Also, what country are you in? I see on the Samsung Themes website that it's available in 183 countries, but I'm not sure if there's an actual list: Samsung Themes | SAMSUNG Developers
