I have the galaxy s9+ and my bluetooth will not recognize my jaybird earphones.

My new s9+ doesn't recognize my Jay birds over bluetooth. The jaybirds work will my old phone, but it's like my new phone doesn't even see them. How can I fix this and has anyone else had this problem?
